Insulation & Air Sealing
It’s time to tighten up your home and insulate right. The combination prevents drafts and cold air from infiltrating your home and maintains heated areas with far less energy. One of the most common issues with existing buildings is underperforming insulation and air sealing. Air Sealing reduces the amount of conditioned air that escapes your home through gaps in the building envelop. It is common for all those gaps to add up to a 2 foot by 3 foot window that remains open all year round. Depending on your utility service provider there are often rebates and incentives available for increased home performance by air sealing and increasing insulation.
Ice Dams
Ice on your roof can be dangerous and damage your building! An ice dam is a ridge of ice that forms at the edge of a roof and prevents melting snow from draining off the roof. The water that backs up behind the dam can leak into a building and cause damage to walls, ceilings, insulation and other parts of the structure. Ice dams form when there is snow on the roof and indoor heating rises through the ceiling into the attic and warms the roof surface. The melted snow flows to the part of the roof that is below 32 degrees then freezes into an ice dam.

Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems
Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system is designed to provide fresh and purified air inside your living space. HRV's operate to controlled the exchange of air while transfering the heat from your indoor air to the cooler outside air before it enters the building. This allows for an efficient exchange of air, while conditioning the air you breath.
Moisture / Mold
Controlling moisture will make your building healthier and comfortable while addressing conditions that supports mold growth and structural rot. Proper ventilation should also be part of a moisture control strategy. Air movement accounts for more than 98% of all water vapor movement in building cavities. Air naturally moves from high-pressure areas to lower pressure areas by the easiest path available -- generally through any available hole or crack in the building envelope. Radon Testing & Mitigation

4 Peaks uses a digital testing monitor to record a continuous measurement during the entire testing time. Unlike the simple self test kits, the digital monitor produces a real-time report showing the varying levels of radon being measured. The report is automatically generated, so results can be provided to you the same day testing is completed. No more waiting for results.
